NADRA Pakistan issues Family Registration Certificates (FRCs) containing information about family members. The FRC is an identity document issued by NADRA in Pakistan. Embassies use the FRC for identification purposes, though the government recognizes it legally.

The Family Registration Certificate is issued to applicants, displaying the family composition of the applicant (by birth or by marriage), as registered with the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA). If a person is not registered with NADRA and does not hold a 13-digit ID number, their data will not be reflected in the FRC.

The fee for the Family Registration Certificate in normal and executive categories is Rs1,000. The duration depends on the amount of fees like Normal / Urgent to Executive.

Here are three main categories in which citizens can apply for FRC:

  1. By birth: The certificate produced will list your family, including details of your parents and siblings.
  2. By marriage: The certificate produced will list your family, including details of your spouse and children.
  3. By adoption: The certificate produced will list your family, including details of your guardian.

How to Apply Online For NADRA FRC

  1. The process of FRC is online and also offline for the facility of Citizens.
  2. In the case of the NRC NADRA Registration Center: Citizens can obtain tokens.
  3. Citizens will provide photographs.
  4. They can check their entered data in the NADAR record.
  5. Within fee hours NADAR handovers printed format of FRC.
  6. If applicants want to use the online process then they can visit the official website id.nadra.gov.pk

Required Documents for NADRA FRC

By Birth If your parents and siblings are all registered in the NADRA database, you will need to submit CNIC/NICOP/POC of your siblings and parents, along with photographs, and a Child Registration Certificate (CRC) for family members under 18 years of age.
By Marriage If you are applying for the FRC based on marriage, you will need to submit the CNIC/NICOP/POC of your children and spouse instead of your siblings and parents.
By Adoption If a person is adopted, they will need to submit the required documents of their guardian for the Family Registration Certificate (FRC).

Duration of NADRA FRC Issuance

NADRA provides FRC PDF format online within 24 hours after apply. However, the duration of printed format FRC starts after the attested form submission.
